This tea is a luscious, thick black tea blended with the small, but mighty blossoms of the osmanthus tree. As anyone who has ever caught the scent of osmanthus in the air knows those tiny blossoms give off one of the most perfect scents known to man. And while drying the blossoms and infusing them in hot water doesn’t produce an exact match, it is a great substitute until the trees bloom again. So why bother with the tea? one might ask. You could make an infusion of just osmanthus flowers, but you might find it more bitter and thinner than you would like. Also, it would not have any caffeine.
